Review Guidelines
Proses penelaahan (review) diJurnal Akuntansi Mahasiswa (JAKMA) done using the double-blind peer review,where the identities of authors and reviewers are kept secret to maintain objectivity and academic integrity.
1. Purpose of Review
The review process aims to ensure that each published article meets scientific standards, has a real contribution to the development of science and community service practices, and is in accordance with the focus and scope of the journal, namely:Accounting.
2. Reviewer Responsibilities
- Assess the manuscript objectively and provide constructive comments to help the author improve the quality of the manuscript.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all information related to the manuscript under review.
- Avoid conflicts of interest with the author or related institutions.
- Report to the editor if you find any indication of ethical violations, such as plagiarism, publication duplication, or data manipulation.
3. Assessment Aspect
The reviewer is expected to evaluate the following aspects:
- Originality:Does the article make a new contribution or innovation to the field of research?
- Relevance: Does the topic fit the focus and scope of the journal?
- Methodology:Is the method of implementing activities clearly and logically explained?
- Benefits of the Activity: Do the results of the activities have a positive impact on the target community?
- Structure and Clarity: Is the manuscript structured in a systematic and easy-to-understand manner?
- References:Is the bibliography up-to-date and relevant to the topic being discussed?
4. Reviewer Recommendations
After assessing the manuscript, the reviewer is asked to choose one of the following recommendations:
- Accepted without revision – Articles deserve to be published as is.
- Accepted with minor revisions – The article deserves to be published after minor improvements.
- Major overhaul – The article needs substantial improvement before it can be reconsidered.
- Rejected – The article is not suitable for publication because it does not meet the criteria of the journal.
5. Ethics and Integrity Review
- Reviewers are not allowed to use the content of the manuscript for personal or self-publication.
- All assessment results must be submitted through the OJS system in polite and professional language.
- The review is carried out within the maximum time2–3 weeks since the assignment was received.
